HAVE HAMMER? We are looking for volunteers willing to adopt a street in District 3 to place about three effective 24x32” signs, preferably this Friday or Saturday morning! The crack of dawn when there is no traffic works best for us. Earl and I will deliver signs to you with two strong stakes attached as soon as the unhealthy air clears. Email me the location you prefer: 164th Av, 162nd Av, 172nd Av, 136th Av, 137th Av, 112th Av, McGillivray, Mill Plain, 1st St, 18th St, 28th St, 39th St, 49th St, 4th Plain, 76th St, Padden Pkwy, 99th St. Please step up and claim your street so Glenn Kincaid is not left with too many to tackle!
POSITIONS OF MY OPPONENT, JESSE JAMES James is a proponent of Tax to the Max. Also, it is no surprise that James’ desire for government regulations to control our lives is strong, much in the name of saving us from climate change. He is with the City of Vancouver in banning new fossil fuel infrastructure. [Are you ready to walk to work and bike to your campground for vacation and grow all your food because otherwise ships and trucks that use fuel get it to your store?] James wants to update building codes for an all-electric economy as we move from fossil fuels. [In his alternative world, electricity is magically and stably produced completely without coal or natural gas despite the fact that 63% of our electricity is from burning fossil fuels.] He even says that “the quality of our natural resources must not be compromised for the private profits of developers!” [Oh – so is he bringing some collective right above the U.S. Constitution’s priority of individual property rights? Let’s not find out.]
DOORBELLERS& SIGN-WAVERS Sign-wavers, we’re soon ready to smile and wave those signs. This Saturday we’ll take a group photo for the next mailer! Dotty Holm will get you all set up, so please drop her an email today if you haven’t already. Also, new slim jims are ready for those of you willing to doorbell to Republicans in District 3 with no-contact literature drops! We’ll coordinate on where you’re walking to prevent duplication.
BATS AND SPRAY PAINT Baseball bats and spray paint are the weapons of choice against my political signs. They have a tough run using bats to knock the signs over because the stakes are heavy duty, but they keep on trying. Thank you for reporting damaged and downed signs! Huge thanks to Chuck Miller, Josh Bradley, Dave Alt and David Nelson for resurrecting three 4x8s that were downed last weekend. That is hard work.
Please bake something good today and stay indoors if possible. With the worst air quality in the world for the 2nd day in a row it’s not a good time to challenge Mother Nature.
With sincere thanks for all you do for this campaign,
